"Top of the Peking Order"

Films: The Mighty Peking Man (1977)

Alias: The Peking Man

Type: Natural

Location: Jungle/Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of a large building.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: Apes, apes, and more apes. This one's from Asia, so some good old Tokusatsu work is in order. That, and wild women.

History: Utam was the large ape man of the Indian jungle. Despite his animosity with most of humanity, he did have a soft side, as seen with his relationship with Samantha, a wild woman he raised to survive in the wilderness. But that'll all change when some explorers come along.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Samantha and Utam are eventually brought over to Hong Kong, and things seem to be going smoothly until Samantha is assaulted. From there, Utam goes on the warpath until he's shot down and engulfed in flames while on top of the Jardine House.

Powers/Abilities: None

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3.5-We have ourselves a very standard giant ape. His facial expressions can be a bit off-putting, though.

Trivia: -The original title for this film translates to "Gorilla King" in Mandarin.

-In reality, the Peking Man refers to some ancient remains of Homo Erectus, one of man's earliest ancestors.

I think both the ape AND the cat need to take their meds.

Peeping Peking.
You know what? For once, this rampage is semi-justified. You've read the bio, right?

You have to admit. They put effort into this knockoff.

"Airborne assault vehicles! A giant ape's one weakness!"

"Does anybody do anything in this house?"
